Riso Scotti and Intesa SanPaolo, in cooperation
with the magazine Food, are organizing a debate
with some of the main protagonists of Made in Italy
Food & Beverage, in order to underline which strategies
companies can adopt to accelerate the development on the International markets.
Through the case histories, the following themes
will be analyzed: limits and margins of improvement
of our Country’s system, financial operations
aimed at the growth of the company abroad,
virtuous relationships with foreign trade partners,
co-marketing operations to face new markets,
sustainability as a competitive leverage of Made
in Italy towards consumers all around the world.
In order to summarized their entrepreneurial philosophy
abroad, the five businessmen will choose a keyword, that expresses
the strong points of their presence in the international markets.

Scotti rice donates 175,000 servings of rice Italian ambassador to Ethiopia,

intended for the Ministry of Agriculture to manage disaster risk and food safety.
It is the last act linked to participation in the Expo. And it is both the legacy. After living for six months alongside a reality such as Ethiopia - which was within the Cluster of coffee, right next to the Cluster Rice that Scotti sponsored for the six-month World Expo - the Company decided to collect in fact the legacy of the Milan Charter and manifest a small respectful gesture towards those peoples who, in the age of globalization, still live suspended in time.

The moderator of the meeting will be the director of the magazine Food, Mrs. Maria Cristina Alfieri. Their entrepreneurial philosophy in 5 keywords: a “micro-dictionary” of success!

Eight cycle-pedestrian paths, all belonging to the calendar of events “Expo in the town”.

The representatives of several Countries attended; Stefano Gatti, General Director of Italy Stand; Valentina Scotti, to represent Riso Scotti, Official Sponsor of the Rice Cluster; Davide Oldani, Ambassador Chef of Expo Milan 2015. The Sole Commissioner delegated by the Government for Expo Milan 2015 Giuseppe Sala declared: “We are ready to introduce the contents, traditions and quality and the craving for future and participation of the Countries that agreed to the Cluster Project”.

After having rested for 18 months at a cooled temperature, the starchy components of the grain become stable. The rice grain becomes more structured and solid, it releases less proteins, vitamins and starch in the cooking water and absorbs the condiment more easily … perfect to realize a Gourmet risotto!

Paddy separator: industrial machine used by Riso Scotti Spa at the beginning of the XX century, modified in 1963 by Mr. Ferdinando Scotti.
Essential to process the rice: with the oscillatory movement of its inclined planes, the paddy separator task is selecting the rice grains, dividing the husked grains from paddy rice. The husked grains fall downwards in order to continue the milling, while the paddy rice is processed in the huller.
